Easter

Happy Easter!

Easter weekend was a little crazy for us. On Good Friday, we (Renee, Andy, and Rose) went to Coeur d' Alene to visit Mama Ellie, Papa Ron was in Edmonton visiting Grandma Goltz. (Kevin and Ryan stayed in Portland at Grandma Donna's house. They got to go see the Cirque de Solie).

The drive over we had blue skies the WHOLE way until we got to the Washington/Idaho border....it was snowing in Idaho, and by the days end, there was 6 inches of snow on Good Friday. Needless to say, it was cold during the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. Actually, Rose didn't get to do the Easter Egg Hunt. It was cold, we got the to easter egg hunt sight at 9:45 am with the understanding the hunt would start at 10:00 am, as posted on the flyer. Well, 10:00 am came and went, and no easter egg hunt. By 11:00 am, when they were lining kids up to go into the very small school gym, Rose had hit her limit. She was SO tired, since she was up at 5:30 am, that we had to leave, after crying inconsolably.

Later in the afternoon, after Rosie had her nap, she found her Easter present from Mama Ellie - an Elmo Potty time. Elmo asks for a drink then tells you he has to go use the potty. He comes with his own potty. Now Elmo can go to the potty when Rosie does. Rosie was so excited watching/helping Mama Ellie open the package.

Be careful, don't squish Elmo

Oh yeah, I'm so excited!

We had to leave Sunday morning so we could get back to Portland for Easter Dinner at Mama Donna's. It was a good and very busy Easter weekend.
