Celebrating Rosie's 3rd Birthday in Portland

While in Portland in early July, we celebrated Rosie's 3rd birthday.  I can't believe my baby is already 3 years old.  We had a BYOPL (Bring Your Own Picnic Lunch) in the Park.  It was a beautiful day out, the playground was a great place for the kids to play and us adults got to hang out by the picnic benches, watching our kids, of course.  It was so great to see friends we haven't seen since we moved out east.  Rose had a BLAST hanging out with her friends too.  She missed them so much.  Here are some pictures of our afternoon at the park.

Can't forget about Baby Carter Woika, who's not a baby anymore.  He is growing up so fast.

Coeur d'Alene Visit

In early July, Rose and I took a trip to visit Grandma Ellie and Papa Ron in beautiful Coeur d'Alene, ID.  We had spent a week in Portland and Andy had to fly back to Wisconsin to get back to work.  Rose and I played for one more week.  Here's some pictures of what we did.

We had a great time in Coeur d'Alene.  With Andy could have been there with us and the weather would have been a little nicer.  Hopefully next time we visit.

Marigolds growing

Here is our little garden and Rosie's marigolds that she planted on Mother's Day.  They survived while we were out west - yeah!

My tomato plant has been going crazy this past week.  I have more tomatoes than I know what to do with. But I'm not complaining.  Makes me think I'd like to plant a garden next year, but have to figure out how to keep the deer from eating it all up.   I guess I have a year to figure that one out.

Tap Dancing and Ballet Dancing Class

Rose started a summer dance class last week. Its a 45 min. class of ballet and tap. Last week she was a little shy, she didn't do the tap dancing but I was able to talk her into participating in the ballet portion of the class. (McDonald's Happy Meal seemed to do the trick).

This week Rose was excited to go to class and I was able to video a portion of the tap class and ballet class. Unfortunately I can't upload it to blogger b/c its too big and I can't shorten the video, you would miss too much.  So here are some pictures.  Hopefully I can post the video to facebook for all my friends out there.
