Rosie's 2nd Birthday Party (June 28th)

We celebrated Rosie's birthday on June 28th, as here birthday fell on a Tuesday this year, and we wanted our out of town friends to come. It was suppose to be a nice day, but we didn't expect it to be 98F...really hot! So, Rosie's birthday party turned into a pool party. We had the pool filled for the kids, the water table set and ready to go, the playhouse put up (thank you Dave and Sharon), and the swing set put up (thank you Grandma Ellie and Papa Ron). Our backyard was birthday party ready.

We had the good time, the kids ran around and the adults got to relax, chat, and eat burgers and hot dogs (one of the foods Rosie does it, she is a very picky eater).

4th of July

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

For the 4th of July this year we visited our friends - The Woika's in Manzanita, OR (at the beach).

Each year in Manzanita there is pancake breakfast put on by the high school to raise money for the athletic department. Everyone from town comes out for it. It is one of the highlights and is becoming a tradition with our family.

After the pancake breakfast the street is lined with lawn chairs for the Manzanita parade. It is such a cute, totally small town America parade...I love it. They even still throw candy to the kids and the parade route is not that long, that the front of the parade ususally catches up to the back of the parade.

Daisy, Rosie's friend, and Rose are playing with Play Doh, instead of napping, after the parade. Two little girls the age of two and no nap....needless to say we did not make it to the fireworks that night.
